my mom used to sing me this native american lullaby. i think it might be Navajo but i may very well be wrong. i would really like to remember the rest of the lyrics, or even know where i could find a copy of this song. the lyrics, though probably not correct in spelling, sound like this:

A long time ago, I saw a tv program (either on tape in class or on TV) some native american woman making blueberry-acorn "bread". It looked like mud in a giant jar but there was this stone oven with a fire underneath. The book I read six to eight years ago, though I don't believe it was new at the time. I may not have finished it. All I remember is that the main character was a woman who discovered she was pregnant, and I'm pretty sure it was some kind of immaculate conception.
